Maintenance Technician – Electrical Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Electrical Location: Western Sydney International Airport (Full-time, on-site, 12‑hour shifts on a 24/7 roster). Role Description As an Electrical Maintenance Technician (Shift), your role within the team is to undertake preventative and corrective maintenance on a baggage handling system incorporating automated storage cranes and specialised transport systems. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance and troubleshooting of all electrical systems and equipment, conducting electrical maintenance inspections, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and components, and ensuring compliance with WHS standards. Key Focus Areas Preventative and corrective maintenance (electrical). Fault finding on automated systems. Using data analytics to enhance system performance. Providing technical support to our customer. Qualifications Australian Trade qualification with Certificate III in Engineering – Electrical, with at least 3 to 5 years post‑trade experience as a Service Technician. Strong electrical background working on industrial automated equipment. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Good written and verbal communication skills (English). Highly Regarded Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical). Experience in logistics, postal sorting and baggage handling systems. Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems).
