Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer

We’re seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to deliver high-quality training, conduct pre-employment assessments, complete VOCs, and ensure all drivers are confident, capable and compliant with our systems and safety standards. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our safety culture and developing skilled, professional drivers across the business. What You’ll Be Doing Conduct pre-employment driver (HR/HC/MC) and forklift assessments Ensure employees are inducted into and trained on all appropriate systems, sites, procedures and equipment Perform Verification of Competency (VOC) tests on employees and ensure ongoing compliance through Learning Management System Provide detailed and constructive feedback Working with WHS Advisor, ensure ongoing compliance with safety regulations and procedures Actively participate in process improvements and support implementation of new processes What You’ll Bring Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Extensive truck driving experience, preferably MC Proven experience as a Driver Trainer within the road transport industry Strong understanding of Australian CoR, NHVAS and fatigue management requirements Good communication skills – both written and verbal Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others Sound understanding of WHS legislation would be desirable Forklift licence and experience would be desirable Excellent time management and organisational skills What’s on Offer Opportunity to influence safety and training standards A stable role with an iconic Australian transport company Monday to Friday role with minimal weekends Opportunities for growth in a company that promotes from within Work with a tight-knit, supportive operational team Be part of a business that values safety, communication and doing things properly Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) If you meet the criteria listed above, please APPLY NOW as we’d love to hear from you Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
