Impact Investing Manager - Sydney Join to apply for the Impact Investing Manager‑Sydney role at Paul Ramsay Foundation Key Points Drive lasting social change through finance. At the Paul Ramsay Foundation, we are driven by a bold mission to help end disadvantage in Australia. Since we’ve committed over $1 billion in grants and $170 million in impact investments, we work with more than 200 partners to create meaningful, lasting change. Impact investing is at the heart of aligning our resources with our mission. We launched two dedicated funds that place impact and purpose alongside financial performance: Endowment Impact Fund – delivering risk‑adjusted market returns through a fund‑of‑funds strategy. Impact First Fund – prioritising measurable impact in PRF's outcome areas, while accepting concessionary financial returns where they unlock transformative change. About the Role We are now seeking an Impact Investing Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the next stage of our impact investing journey. Working closely with the Head of Impact Investing, you will help identify, analyse, and manage high‑quality opportunities, lead due diligence processes, nurture relationships across a growing portfolio, and support the development of our expanding team. This is a unique opportunity to apply your financial and analytical expertise to investments delivering measurable impact and sustainable financial returns. You'll be joining at an exciting time as we continue to grow a well‑diversified portfolio that reflects our mission and ambition. If you want your work to contribute to reshaping systems, driving social good, and redefining what capital can achieve, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Support the Head of Impact Investing in identifying and executing strategic opportunities for PRF within the impact investing landscape. Work as part of the Impact Investing Team (of 3) to originate high‑quality impact investment opportunities across our Impact Funds. Create and lead impact investment due diligence, structuring and funding recommendations, including presenting to the appropriate PRF Committee, on investment opportunities across our Impact Funds. Work with the Foundation's Legal and Finance teams, and where necessary, third‑party legal firms, to finalise and execute investment agreements. Relationship manage and maintain a portfolio of PRF's impact investments. Where appropriate, in the course of PRF's investments, hold non‑financial technical assistance roles with investees that may include sitting on Investment Committees and Advisory Boards. Proactively drive impact investing capability building with PRF staff and integrate with grant‑making colleagues on PRF's outcome area packages of work to build capital stacks where appropriate. Build relationships with other investors in support of leveraging capital into our investments. Work with the Head of Impact Investing, in furthering PRF impact investing practice by supporting market engagement, sharing of learning and representing the Foundation externally. Lead and oversee projects, which may include ad‑hoc management of external consultants and the Impact Investment Associate. About You You bring a strong mix of analytical, financial, and relationship‑building skills, and the confidence to operate in dynamic and evolving environments. Specifically, you will bring: Key Selection Criteria Relevant undergraduate qualification with 6‑8 years of professional experience, including in impact investing, private equity, investment banking, or related fields. Strong experience in financial analysis, modelling, and business plan assessment. Proven ability to generate insights from complex datasets and present them clearly. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Organised, methodical, and able to manage competing priorities effectively. Demonstrated judgement, attention to detail, and ability to produce quality outputs. Personal Characteristics Confident, flexible, and comfortable in varied, high‑demand environments. A self‑starter who takes initiative and reliably delivers on commitments. Pragmatic and analytical, with a bias for action. Collaborative and consultative, with excellent interpersonal skills. Motivated by PRF's mission, values, and the potential of finance to drive social change. Humble, curious, and courageous in pursuit of innovation. What We Offer This is a rare opportunity to apply your investment expertise in the service of one of Australia's largest philanthropic foundations. You will help shape portfolios that deliver not just financial returns, but real‑world impact—redefining what capital can achieve. We are committed to offering and supporting development and employment opportunities to help people excel and build a meaningful career. We offer generous learning and development opportunities, access to employee benefits, an employment assistance program (EAP) and education assistance. We promote diversity in the workplace and have a culture that is inclusive, respectful and embraces the unique skills and qualities of all people. #J-18808-Ljbffr
