Senior Mainframe Developer (CA Gen / COBOL) – Canberra (NV1 Clearance) Hands‑on senior developer responsible for enhancements, maintenance, and modernisation of mission‑critical CA Gen and COBOL workloads. Responsibilities Develop new features and enhancements in CA Gen and COBOL. Maintain batch jobs in JCL. Work with Endevor + GuardIEn for code promotion and pipeline automation. Integrate mainframe components with Java/Node.js APIs. Lead technical reviews and mentor junior developers. Support defect analysis per Defect Severity/Priority classifications. Required Skills Strong coding in CA Gen, COBOL, JCL. DB2/IMS knowledge. Experience with Azure DevOps, Endevor, GuardIEn. Experience in secure coding practices for government. Australian Citizen with active Baseline/NV1 clearance. Willing to work from Canberra office.
