City of Melbourne, Österreich Bouygues Uk Vollzeit

The Project The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance. The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North‑South Corridor, forming a continuous 78km, non‑stop, traffic‑light‑free motorway, and contributing to a long‑lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide. The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in the near future. The project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. About the Role Step into a pivotal role where your leadership in safety will help shape South Australia's most significant infrastructure projects. As Safety Lead, you'll be part of a passionate team driving innovation, collaboration, and a strong safety culture across every level of delivery. Working closely with the Safety Managers, project leadership, and on‑site teams, you'll provide expert guidance, clarity, and hands‑on support to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of everyone involved. This is your chance to make a genuine impact fostering a culture where safety isn't just a requirement, but a shared value. Responsibilities Champion the Project's Values and Behaviours, leading by example with a proactive and visible commitment to safety. Partner with stakeholders across all zones to coach, support and embed world‑class WHS practices, systems, and procedures. Provide expert technical input to ensure all legal and contractual obligations are clearly identified, controlled and communicated. Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to design and deliver tailored programs and initiatives that drive continuous improvement and build safety capability across the project. Maintain and strengthen the Project's WHS management systems, policies, and plans. Build strong relationships with internal leaders, contractors, and clients, ensuring alignment and consistency across the alliance. Lead and participate in high‑level incident investigations and risk assessments, ensuring learnings are captured and shared. Analyse health and safety data to provide meaningful insights and drive performance improvements. Play a central role in driving a consistent, positive safety culture, where people are empowered to work safely and think proactively. About you A confident safety professional with a genuine passion for creating safer, smarter workplaces. Proven experience within construction, infrastructure, or other high‑risk industries. Strong technical knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance frameworks, and safety management systems. Proven capability in leading investigations, analysing data and translating insights into practical improvements. Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage teams at all levels. Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a commitment to building a strong, positive safety culture across complex projects.
