Love food, coffee and bringing great energy to the kitchen? We’re on the lookout for two passionate Cooks to join our Bowen Hills team on a casual basis. This role is perfect for someone who knows their way around a busy kitchen and thrives in a fast-paced, upbeat environment. Previous experience with catering will be beneficial in this role. About the Role You’ll be an important part of our growing food team, supporting our chefs with daily prep and delivering consistent, high-quality dishes that pair perfectly with our coffee. This role is approximately 30 hours per week, working 6am–2pm. Weekend work is a regular part of the roster. What You’ll Be Doing Assisting with daily food preparation Working across pans, grill and fryer confidently Ensuring food quality, consistency and presentation are always on point Assisting with food prep and cooking for large catering roles as required Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety Supporting the team during busy service periods What We’re Looking For Experience as a Level 2–3 Cook (or similar) with 2+ years cooking experience Strong kitchen skills across pans, grill and fryer A proactive, reliable and team-focused attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Previous catering experience is highly regarded Flexibility to work weekends and additional hours as needed A passion for good food and good coffee Why Join Merlo?
