Do you have experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, specifically Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)? Mai-Wel is seeking a compassionate, confident, and capable Support Worker to join our small, dedicated SIL team. This is a permanent part‑time position, 25 hours per week, working to a set roster. You must be available to work all rostered shifts and be confident working independently, as each shift is worked in isolation with the support of a small remote team. About the Role As a Support Worker in our SIL homes, you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred supports that promote independence, empowerment and positive daily living outcomes. Your responsibilities will include: Providing personal care supports Supporting activities of daily living such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and household tasks Transporting participants in your personal vehicle or a Mai‑Wel vehicle Implementing behaviour support strategies Working independently to deliver consistent, safe and responsive support Maintaining accurate and timely documentation What We’re Looking For To be successful, you will have: Minimum 2+ years experience in disability support or a related field Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, including Borderline Personality Disorder Confidence and capability to work independently within a small, remote‑supported team A commitment to person‑centred practice and maintaining participant safety, dignity and choice Mandatory requirements: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) Current Driver’s Licence & willingness to use own vehicle Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain) Why Mai-Wel?
