This operation is based in the Bass Strait. Responsibilities Supporting the preparation of loading and discharge plans Undertaking Chief Officer watchkeeping duties as required in port and at sea All matters pertaining to cargo, cargo spaces, cargo systems and cargo handling Supervision and training of crew engaged in cargo duties Enforcing of all safety precautions and regulations Ensuring all policies and procedures laid down are properly carried out Having comprehensive knowledge of all maintenance and repair needs of the deck and throughout the accommodation Providing guidance and support to the Deck Officers including Deck Cadets Capable of ShipSure entry and management of Deck department requirements Qualifications Educational requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory) Technical requirements: at least 12 months documented qualifying seagoing service in charge of navigation watch MSIC Card (required or ability to obtain) Working Safely at Heights (required or ability to obtain) Enter and Work in a Confined Workspace certification (required or ability to obtain) Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain) Living in Australia About youIf you are interested in this role, we would love to hear from you Please submit your CV via our website.
