As part of the Switchboard team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication across the hospital. Located in the heart of Western Sydney Collaborative and inclusive team culture Opportunities for professional development A role that makes a difference every day Supportive leadership and training provided As a Switchboard Operator, you’ll be at the centre of hospital communications, operating the switchboard, paging system, and information desk to support staff, patients, and visitors. This is a 24/7 operational service, so shift work availability is essential. Respond to internal and external calls, including emergency paging Provide frontline customer service at the hospital’s information desk Maintain and test communication systems including pagers and radios Update on-call rosters and databases to ensure service continuity Collaborate with hospital teams to deliver high-quality support Apply online by submitting your resume, and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date. Selection Criteria Ability to make decisions quickly and precisely particularly when executing Emergency or Disaster Procedures. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Clear & concise telephone voice. Excellent professional customer service skills. Be able to follow procedures efficiently and precisely. Demonstrated experience with a computerized, Windows based switchboard, databases & applications. Clear administrative skills, ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute. A demonstrated past record of being able to work unsupervised.
