We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant culinary team. Located within Melbourne’s premier luxury destination, Next Hotel Melbourne features 255 guest rooms and suites, The Club, meeting spaces, a fitness centre, and a curated Australian art collection — offering a sophisticated yet welcoming experience. If you’re passionate about food, teamwork, and delivering exceptional experiences, we’d love to hear from you What You’ll Be Doing Handle crockery, cutlery, and cookware with care — ensuring everything is spotless and ready for service. Keep the kitchen and equipment clean, sanitised, and operating efficiently. Safely transport and store ingredients while following food safety procedures. Maintain top hygiene standards and adhere to HACCP guidelines. Support the chefs and collaborate across the kitchen team to ensure seamless service. What We’re Looking For A can-do attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Excellent personal presentation and hygiene standards. Physical stamina – capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 20kg. Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
