The Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub, based at our Child, Youth and Family Advocacy Centre in Midland, is an innovative and exciting mental health and well‑being service designed to support children aged 0‑12 years and their families with mild to moderate mental health challenges. As the first of its kind in Western Australia, The Kids Hub delivered in partnership with Koya Aboriginal Corporation, Lifespan Psychology, Pregnancy to Parenthood and MIFWA is committed to providing high‑quality, outcomes‑based services to children and their families. Lead Trauma‑Informed, Culturally Safe Support for Children and Families: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children impacted by family and domestic violence (FDV)? The Kids Hub is seeking a dedicated Practice Lead to champion high‑quality, trauma‑informed, and culturally safe service delivery for children aged 12 and under who present with or disclose experiences of FDV. This senior therapeutic role is offered on a fixed‑term, part‑time basis, commencing in early February 2026, ending November 2028. Join us in making a difference at The Kids Hub If you would be keen to join us, we are now seeking a passionate and committed professional to join our team who can: Lead and embed best practice, developmentally appropriate responses for children and families affected by FDV, working closely within a multidisciplinary team. Drive the co‑development of an FDV Practice Framework and define core competencies to ensure consistent, reflective, and responsive practice across the Hub. Champion an integrated, wraparound approach to care, ensuring FDV‑related support is aligned with each child’s developmental stage and cultural context. Implement and uphold trauma and family domestic violence‑informed approaches in all interactions and treatments. Ensure the quality‑of‑service delivery is consistently high and aligns with best practices in mental health and well‑being. Advocate for the mental health and well‑being needs of children and their families within the community. Qualifications and Experience: Demonstrated experience working with children impacted by FDV, with a strong understanding of trauma‑informed and culturally safe practice. Skilled in multidisciplinary collaboration and practice leadership, with the ability to co‑create frameworks and guide reflective, evidence‑based practice. Passionate about supporting practitioner growth and building capability, with a commitment to ongoing learning and service improvement. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster a supportive, inclusive, and accountable team environment. Relevant tertiary/bachelor’s qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or Social Science, or a related field. Project Management and service design experience. Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and continuous professional development. Why Join Us? Parkerville Children and Youth Care are uniquely positioned to provide the successful applicant with the following benefits: SCHADS Schedule B Pay Point and Level – Level 6.1‑6.3 - $55.72 - $58.19.
