Global Principal - Underground Mining Performance Location: Perth, WA, AU, 6001 Company: Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd Lead Global Underground Mining Excellence at Gold Fields Drive technical and operational improvements at scale for Business Improvement Bring your Mine Engineering expertise and collaborative leadership As part of our Asset Optimisation team, you are a senior leader driving underground mining performance across Gold Fields’ global operations. This pivotal role uses deep technical expertise to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective outcomes, embed best practice, and align priority projects with business objectives. You’ll influence operational leaders and champion improvement initiatives that create lasting value. What You’ll Do Lead asset performance and improvement initiatives that deliver safe, predictable, cost-effective operations. Provide high-level technical guidance to operational leaders and mentor teams to embed best practices as a subject matter expert. Benchmark global KPIs, technologies, and processes; identify risks and opportunities to enhance performance. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure improvements align with business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes. Role model our core values and create a culture where every team member feels seen, supported, and valued. This is a Perth based role, with travel to sites across Gold Fields. Extensive underground mining leadership experience. Proven ability to drive and deliver technical and operational improvements at scale. Expertise in underground operations, fleet performance, and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong commercial acumen with project management and financial modelling capability. Resilient, adaptable, and results-driven with a collaborative leadership style.
