Over 70% of Australian primary schools use Inquisitive and we are continually growing. About the role We are seeking a Publishing Editor with a can-do attitude and all-rounder experience with knowledge to manage a variety of editing, publishing, administrative and licensing responsibilities. Reporting to the English Publisher and working with our world-leading education team, you will help develop content and publish units that will support teachers and foster a love of learning for the next generation of Australian learners. In addition, we are seeking someone who has excellent written English skills, including exceptional grammar, spelling and punctuation. What you will be doing: Proofreading and copy editing lessons and eBooks Licensing books and videos Publishing Primary Humanities and English units using our internal publishing tool Liaising with the Inquisitive Product, Operations and Marketing teams Working closely with other subject teams and digital designers Skills and experience you will bring to the team: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Outstanding organisational and time management skills Great attention to detail Excellent problem-solving skills Advanced working knowledge of Google and Microsoft suite applications The ability to work both independently and as part of a team The ability to multitask and learn quickly The desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to meet the needs of multiple demands as they arise Experience working in an editing role or in Primary schools is also desirable.
