ABOUT THE ROLE – TOUCH FOOTBALL COACHES Touch Football is one of the most popular sports at the school and with high participation levels, touch football has had success over the last few years with several teams earning premierships. St Margaret’s secondary students compete in the QGSSSA Touch Football competition. This season runs from February until the end of May. The primary students compete in the Andrews Cup competition which runs from February to March. The Touch Football program is coordinated by Teacher Coordinators. Coaches lead up to two training sessions per week with fixtures to be held on Fridays for the secondary students and the Andrew’s Cup competition held in late March for primary students. We are currently inviting applications for casual Touch Football coaches. COACHES The role of coach is to deliver coaching sessions developed by the Lead Coach which encourage students in skill and technique development. To view the position description please click here. ABOUT YOU You will be an experienced and qualified coach who has a proven ability to develop players’ skills and instil a passion for the sport. All coaches must have, or be in the process of attaining, a minimum of TFA – Foundation Coach accreditation. TFA – Talent Coach accreditation or higher will be highly regarded. Previous coaching experience. Experience in playing Touch Football. A working with children blue card or exemption card. A current first aid and CPR certificate.
