Job Description About the Role The Program Leader (Pedagogy and Practice) is a designated program in the Middle Phase of Learning within the College. The Program Leader works collaboratively with other role holders in carrying out of their duties and reports directly to the Head of School Middle Phase. The leadership and direction provided by a Program Leader will be consistent with Padua College’s Strategic Plan; Catholic teachings, principles, values and Franciscan Charism. The successful candidate will be appointed to this role for an initial term of four (4) years, in accordance with Clause S2.13.1 for Middle Leadership. This appointment includes a permanent position as a teacher and includes a teaching role for the successful applicant. Key Responsibilities / Duties: Overseeing the performance of Middle Phase teachers through on-going professional discourse, facilitation of reflective teaching practice, and formal and informal goal setting and appraisal. Ensuring processes support students ability to meet the College's expectations in and out of the classroom environment Leading pedagogy within the Middle Phase, developing and monitoring clear processes to support the pedagogical development of Middle Phase staff to fulfill the expectations of the College’s Learning Framework. Collaborating with the Head of School Middle Phase, House Guardians, Counsellors and Learning Enrichment to support the holistic well-being of students in the Middle Phase of learning. Working in collaboration with the Head of School Middle Phase to mentor and support students in areas including academic improvement, organisation and study skills. Desired Skills and Experience To be considered for this role, you should have: Bachelor of Education or equivalent Current Queensland Teacher Registration Demonstrated achievement in school leadership, specifically in the Middle Phase of learning.
