The Head of Primary is responsible for maintaining and developing the positive culture and community of the primary school, ensuring students have access to high quality teaching and learning. The Head of Primary reports directly to the Principal. This full-time position is expected to start January 2026 (open to negotiation). We’re seeking a candidate who will contribute to a growing school and be part of a dynamic teaching team in a developing campus community. About the Organisation Australian Christian College (ACC) is a protestant non-denominational Christian education organisation. ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries, with 17 schools in 5 states, and is the largest non-government distance education provider in Australia. Darling Downs campus in Hilbert is a K-11, co-educational Christian school opening to grow to K-12, located in a semi-rural setting. About The Role Position: Head of Primary. Location: Darling Downs campus (Hilbert). Reports to: Principal. Status: Full-time, January 2026 start (negotiable). More Specifically, you will have: a vibrant Christian faith, evidenced by service in your local church the ability to articulate your faith to others a commitment to the transformative power of the Gospel in the lives of students and staff experience in educational leadership Qualifications Evidence of the right to work in Australia Proof of identity Recognised teaching qualification Clearance status of the Working with Children Check Registered with the TRBWA Statements of service from previous child-connected roles References from previous child-connected roles Applicants must demonstrate an active Christian faith commitment, hold suitable teaching qualifications, be registered with the TRBWA (or be eligible to register if coming from out of state), demonstrate leadership in Christian schools, and provide satisfactory referees.
