Your new company Client is an established, well‑respected specialist consultancy offering professional construction services across development management and project management. As a result of continued growth they are looking to hire an Assistant Project Manager to join their business. Your new role The role is a traditional client‑side role. As Assistant PM you will either deliver smaller projects yourself or support Senior staff as 2IC on their projects. The client works end to end, so you will work alongside a variety of clients to manage projects from inception right through to delivery. You will be providing technical leadership from planning, design, approvals, procurement, and right through to management of main contractors as a super's rep until project completion. The client has a varied client base covering public‑sector projects in education, health, and private developers. The role is client‑facing and requires an effective, positive, proactive communication style. What you'll need to succeed We are looking for an experienced client‑side candidate, ideally with 1–2 years’ experience working for a similar consultancy. Candidates will ideally be tertiary qualified in architecture, quantity surveying or construction management. We may consider experienced Contract Administrators with main contractors or Architects/Quantity Surveyors from a similar consultancy environment who have a real and genuine interest in working in client‑side project management and having a broader impact on project delivery. This role is build‑focused as opposed to civils, so it is not suited to civil engineers. What you'll get in return We are looking for an ASAP start for the suitable candidate. The company has a mature and sensible office environment. Salary in the 80‑900k range for the APM role is suggested; we would pay more for more experienced early‑career PM‑level candidates.
