Senior Mechanical Fitter

About the role As a Senior Mechanical Fitter at Luna Park Melbourne Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mechanical equipment and machinery within our iconic amusement park. This full‑time position is based in St Kilda, Victoria and will see you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our amusement devices and attractions. What you’ll be doing Conducting regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of mechanical equipment including motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues, and implementing appropriate solutions Ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and complies with safety standards Liaising with the broader technical services team to coordinate work and share best practices Maintaining detailed records of all work undertaken Participate in training and the verification to perform the tasks assigned to the Daily Ride Check program Participate in training and the verification to perform the role of Duty Technician Assisting the Technical Services Manager with department administration and reporting Coordination and upkeep of the ESM program and various other administrative duties Providing guidance and mentorship to more junior members of the team What we’re looking for 4+ years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the amusement park or related industries Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of mechanical systems and components Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics Experience with a range of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring equipment \Good problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with the broader maintenance team Commitment to workplace health and safety procedures What we offer At Luna Park Melbourne, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.
