About the role
We are a creative digital publisher and are on the search for a Group Business Director to work across our beautyvoices and parenting portfolios on a 12 month parental leave contract. The brands include: BEAUTYDIRECTORY, beautyheaven, BEAUTYcrew and Bounty Parents. We pride ourselves on providing a close-knit and collaborative work environment where we strive to deliver innovative products.
The Group Business Director (GBD) will manage a high-performance team of salespeople delivering creative, innovative, cross-platform solutions to direct clients within the beautyvoices and parenting portfolio. You will oversee the brand level budgets, with a focus on the direct revenue targets, ensuring the sales team meets quarterly and yearly goals. Collaboration with internal stakeholders is essential to ensure the seamless quality and delivery of all campaigns. Managing and growing strategic commercial relationships is pivotal. Additionally, you will contribute to business planning, set individual budgets, provide strategic direction, deliver on weekly forecasts, and achieve quarterly and yearly targets.
Duties
Meet quarterly and annual revenue targets for the beautyvoices and bounty parents brands.
Management and mentoring of the Direct Sales team across beautyvoices and bounty parents
Internal and external meetings to drive revenue and relationships
Forecasting weekly revenue, regular reporting and budget analysis to reach team goals
Creating short term packages with the commercial brand manager which are reactive to market conditions
Drive tentpole activations for the brands and YOY growth in key accounts
Strong focus on new business and ensuring team are being proactive in market.
Skills and experience
Strong enthusiasm for media and advertising demonstrated through understanding and knowledge of media market
People leadership, experience leading a team throughout the end-to-end employee lifecycle
Able to set challenging goals, think and plan ahead as well as juggle competing demands to achieve deadlines
Adopts a can do/will do approach and tackles tasks and challenges with a positive, energetic approach
Is self-aware and shows willingness to overcome challenges and is open to improving performance by applying new skills
