As our new Senior Acoustic Engineer, you’ll be a key member of Aurecon’s specialist Acoustics team, helping to shape the soundscapes of Australia’s most complex and high-profile projects. You’ll join a dynamic and flexible team of more than 10 acoustic specialists across Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney, working collaboratively across both architectural and environmental acoustics across the Asia‑pacific region. This role is ideal for someone with 5–6 years of experience who thrives in a technically challenging environment, enjoys mentoring junior engineers, and is passionate about creating spaces that sound as good as they look. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’: Lead and contribute to acoustic design for buildings, including sound privacy, reverberation, and noise control. Support environmental noise assessments and environmental compliance for infrastructure and energy projects. Work independently to deliver technical solutions and ask the right questions to guide design outcomes. Mentor and train graduates and junior engineers, sharing knowledge and building capability within the team. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated acoustic solutions. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and modelling outputs using industry‑standard tools. Contribute to major projects including data centres, battery energy storage, and transport infrastructure. How will your future be shaped by us? Strong technical capability in acoustic modelling, analysis, and reporting. Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
