District Medical Officer – Procedural – Anaesthetics $466,419 AUD / £248,000 GBP p.a. Overview In this combined General Practitioners (Rural Generalist) Emergency Medicine/Anaesthetics role you will provide comprehensive medical and community health services to the Health Campus and surrounding remote communities. You will work within a team of dedicated medical officers to deliver exceptional care to the region. Role Responsibilities You will be rostered to clinical duties in the emergency department and GP clinics at each hospital, rostered on call as required, and receive an annualised on‑call allowance shared with colleagues. Qualifications Eligible fellowship from the College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP). Formal post graduate qualification in Anaesthetics (JCCA) and equivalent extensive experience. About the Health Campus The $173 million Karratha Health Campus is the biggest investment in a public hospital ever undertaken in regional WA. It has an expanded emergency department, a new CT scanner, a brand‑new surgical centre, new delivery suites and maternity wing, world‑class Telehealth services, new and expanded outpatients and essential services such as child health and medical imaging, all under one roof bringing care closer to Home for the local community.
