Social Worker – Multicultural / Refugee Health Unit Join the Social Work Department at Armidale Hospital, part of Hunter New England Local Health District. This part‑time Level 3 Social Worker role focuses on delivering culturally safe, trauma‑informed care to refugee and multicultural communities across inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities Provide community and inpatient social work services with a primary focus on refugee families, including assessment, planning, and coordinated case management. Deliver trauma‑informed, person‑centred care that addresses holistic needs of patients navigating settlement and health challenges. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, interpreter services and community agencies to enhance access and equity of care. Participate in regular supervision, supervision check‑ins, and monthly manager meetings; pursue professional development opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent; eligibility for Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) membership. Experience working with multicultural or refugee populations preferred. Strong communication skills; ability to work with interpreter services. Willingness to work a weekend roster once every 8 weeks when trained. Employment Details Type: Temporary Part‑Time (24 h per week) until June 2027. Remuneration: $58.95‑$60.86 per hour + superannuation; salary packaging options available.
