The Builders Club is on the lookout for an experienced, motivated, and hands‑on Duty Manager to join our leadership team. About the Role As Duty Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the Club’s daily operations. You’ll lead by example, drive exceptional customer service, support and develop our frontline team, and ensure the venue operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll be the go-to problem solver on shift, managing customer concerns, supporting staff, overseeing compliance, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment throughout the Club. This role suits someone who is proactive, confident on the floor, and committed to high standards. What You’ll Be Doing Leading daily Club operations and ensuring service excellence across all areas Coaching and supporting staff to build a strong, unified team Managing customer feedback, complaints, and escalations professionally Upholding Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Conduct of Gaming and Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gaming requirements Ensuring WHS standards are followed and incident reporting is completed accurately Opening, trading, and closing the venue in line with Club policy and legislation Managing breaks, staff performance, and shift documentationMonitoring venue presentation to ensure a clean, safe and inviting environment Overseeing till balancing and maintaining venue security Supporting promotions, events and in‑house activities What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a similar leadership or supervisory role within hospitality Strong customer service and conflict‑resolution skills Ability to lead, motivate and mentor a diverse team Solid understanding of RSA, RCG & ARCG requirements Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive, solution‑focused, and professional approach Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required What We Offer A supportive leadership team and positive workplace culture Ongoing coaching, training and development opportunities The chance to contribute ideas and take ownership within a dynamic, busy venue Competitive remuneration A role where every day is different, and you can genuinely make an impact If you’re passionate about hospitality, confident on the floor, and ready to step into a key leadership role — we’d love to hear from you.
