Site Outage Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor Rotating Equipment to join our Queensland Site Project Team based out of our Gladstone facility. This role is predominantly site based between April and November , aligned with outage and shutdown seasons at Queensland power stations. Outside of this period, the role transitions to a workshop based position supporting overhaul, preparation, inspection, and pre outage works. You will be responsible for supervising site teams delivering overhaul, installation, and maintenance works on high speed rotating equipment including boiler feed pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps, and associated auxiliaries. Reporting to the Queensland Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in leading site teams, driving safety and quality outcomes, coordinating resources, and providing hands on technical leadership across critical power generation assets. RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with the project delivery and engineering teams to plan, resource, and execute outage and site based works Provide day to day supervision of FITT Resources employees and subcontractors across power station sites Lead works on high speed rotating equipment including boiler feed pumps and multistage centrifugal pumps Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements Manage site documentation including permits, risk assessments, ITPs, and client compliance requirements Maintain high standards of housekeeping, tooling condition, and site equipment readiness Ensure all safety, quality, and environmental policies are implemented and adhered to Act as the primary point of contact with clients and principal contractors onsite Provide technical guidance and problem solving support to site teams Support workshop activities outside of outage periods including strip inspections, rebuilds, and pre assembly works ABOUT YOU Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate site based teams Strong safety leadership mindset with a hands on approach Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Strong customer focus with a professional and practical approach Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Comfortable working in high pressure outage environments Strong planning, time management, and organisational skills Willingness to work extended hours and overtime during outage periods Willingness to travel to Queensland power stations as required EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent Minimum 5 years experience in rotating equipment within power generation, water, or heavy industrial environments Demonstrated experience with pumps, valves, gearboxes, and high speed rotating machinery preferred Previous supervisory or leading hand experience highly regarded Current Australian Driver Licence Construction White Card Ability to undergo a pre employment medical Confined Space and Gas Testing certification preferred Working at Heights certification preferred High Risk Work Licence including Dogging, Rigging, or Forklift preferred EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Permanent full time position Gladstone based role with structured site and workshop balance 38 hour working week with significant overtime opportunities during outages Company vehicle, laptop, and mobile phone Exposure to major Queensland power generation assets Ongoing training, development, and career progression opportunities Competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications WORK LOCATION Primary base – Gladstone Queensland Work locations include – Queensland power stations and industrial sites, FITT Resources Gladstone workshop outside of outage season #J-18808-Ljbffr
