Your focus will be on providing leadership to achieve optimal mining performance, ensuring a safe workplace, statutory compliance, and adherence to company policies.Your primary responsibilities may include:Actively leading and promoting processes directed at delivering safety and production goals.Assisting with the planning, coordination, and allocation of physical and team resources to achieve weekly outputs.Promoting and monitoring the use of safety systems, including relevant tools and documentation, to meet site safety standards.Conducting daily workplace inspections to ensure high safety standards are maintained.Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce project costs, and enhance safety.Coaching and supporting Supervisors and their respective teams to effectively manage team performance.What is Required?Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in open-pit metalliferous mining operations, including previous experience at the superintendent level.Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:An Unrestricted Quarry Manager’s Certificate, which is mandatory.Hold, or be in the process of obtaining, a Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate.Experience with core mining equipment (e.g. excavators, dozers, graders, trucks).While not essential, an understanding of drill & blast processes would be useful.About Mount MarionLocated 40 kilometres south-west of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region, Mt Marion is one of MinRes’ three hard rock lithium mine sites.
