Merri-bek is a great place to live, work and play. About the role Merri-bek City Council is offering an exciting and dynamic opportunity to join our innovative Building Services Unit. In this role, reporting to the Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor, you will play a vital part in the unit’s success by providing precise and reliable technical advice on statutory and building permit issues to ratepayers, builders, and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and technical tasks that support the efficient operation of Building Services. This position offers an excellent chance to jump-start your career in building surveying, allowing you to collaborate with experienced professionals to gain invaluable hands‑on experience, enhance your technical skills, and grow professionally in a supportive environment. Skills and experience require to perform the role Completed or undertaking studies necessary to be a building surveyor or building inspector. Experience in the operation of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office software.
