Apprenticeships and Traineeships Officer Multiple opportunities at our Eastern campuses Full time, ongoing x 2 and Full time, fixed term x 1 (until July 2026) HEW6 salary + 17% super and staff benefits About The Role At Swinburne University of Technology, we train thousands of apprentices and trainees every year—and we’re committed to supporting them every step of the way. As our Apprenticeships and Traineeships Officer, you’ll play a vital role in helping apprentices succeed and employers thrive. You’ll be the go-to person for building strong employer relationships, providing expert advice on apprenticeship options and obligations, and resolving complex queries for apprentices and trainees. This role is all about connection and impact. You’ll work closely with apprentices, employers, RTOs, Australian Apprenticeship Support Networks (AASNs), and Apprenticeship Field Officers (AFOs) to ensure smooth processes and positive outcomes. You’ll also help improve systems and strategies that make it easier for apprentices to complete their training and access support services like WorkSafe and the Fair Work Ombudsman. About You Extensive knowledge of the Australian Apprenticeship and Traineeship system and the VET sector, including the role of RTOs, AASNs, and regulatory requirements. A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and guidance for apprentices, trainees, and employers. Experience monitoring and evaluating programs and meeting government reporting requirements. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver outstanding service. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions on complex issues. Qualifications A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
