CRVCID Position Profile and Role : We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Policy to join Perth Children's HospitalandNeonatology’sSafety Quality and Performance team. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your understanding of the integrated systems which underpin our operations and support effective clinical governance. Join us in advancing the maturity of safety and quality and driving excellence in patient care Reporting to the Director Safety, Quality & Performance, you will provide clinical leadership and expert nursing support to address complex safety and quality issues and influence paediatric nursing practice and policy across Perth Children’s Hospital and Neonatology. You will coordinate and lead the development, review and implementation of clinical practice policies, ensuring alignment with governance and accreditation requirements, and support the delivery of high-quality, safe care for children and neonates. Key responsibilities Leading and / or coordinating the development of paediatric clinical practice policies, monitoring compliance with relevant standards, legislation and regulatory requirements Promoting and facilitating a multidisciplinary approach to decision-making, applying innovative solutions to complex clinical policy issues within and beyond the hospital setting. Ensuring that clinical practice policy changes are disseminated, and that associated electronic resources are maintained. Championing and supporting teams to deliver safe, high-quality health care with a focus on continual improvement, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability. About our Directorate The PCHN Safety, Quality and Performance team plays a vital role in ensuring safe, high-quality care for children and families. We lead the development, implementation, and ongoing review of systems that support excellence in care delivery. By championing clinical governance, we provide oversight for quality improvement initiatives, clinical incident management, and policy development. Working closely with divisional teams and CAHS Safety, Quality and Performance, we strengthen governance frameworks and ensure compliance with national standards. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with a dynamic team and contribute to the development of integrated systems that enhance patient safety and promote quality outcomes.
