We are looking for Inspectors – Fixed Plant to play a lead role in being the team\'s Subject Matter Expert in fixed plant maintenance. This is a great opportunity for trade qualified Mechanical Fitters or Boilermakers to join our teams across various Pilbara mine sites. What You’ll Bring A Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker Trade qualification A Manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence essential Current experience in an Iron Ore process plant Excellent diagnostic fault-finding abilities Extensive knowledge of high-pressure pumps, industrial drive gearboxes and crushers Solid understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant equipment and determine repair action when required Work closely with maintenance, engineering and shut down team to prioritise work and plant health Inspecting work fronts to ensure that all work is completed to a high quality Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with RTIO policies and procedures Identify, prioritise and execute defect elimination and equipment improvement projects Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects – increasing safety whilst reducing risk and cost Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard Use your experience to look for improvement opportunities to benefit the Plant What We Offer Be recognised for your contribution and have opportunities to progress A work environment where safety is always the number one priority A permanent position working directly for Rio Tinto A competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive bonus Comprehensive medical benefits including subsidised private health insurance for employees and immediate family Attractive share ownership plan Company provided insurance cover Extensive salary sacrifice & salary packaging options Career development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership ambitions Ongoing access to family-friendly health and medical wellbeing support Leave for all of life’s reasons (vacation/annual, paid parental, sick leave, cultural leave) Paid parental leave of 18 weeks after a new child arrives We are committed to elevating Indigenous voices and increasing cultural knowledge in our business.
