Home Care Worker (2) - Canberra South - Casual - Experienced When was the last time you made a difference in someone's life? It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for a qualified person with 3 months or more experience in a similar role to join the Silverchain team in the Fyshwick 2609 area. What’s on offer Work close to home – Home Care Workers needed now in the Fyshwick area. Award rate $41.08 per hour + Super + paid KM's. Casual roles with a view to permanent part time positions. What we’re looking for Enjoy having variety in their day. Can build positive relationships with clients and their families. Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer. Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help. In addition, you will need: A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle. Experience of 3 months or more in a similar role. The role In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as: General housekeeping and making beds. Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors. Washing, folding and ironing laundry. Meal preparation and grocery shopping. You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as: Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day. Assisting with mobility and therapy goals. Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia. Providing social and emotional support. Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments. Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
