We’re seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our Open Pit Team at KCGM , based in Kalgoorlie on a residential 8/6 roster (11-hour shifts). Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer , you’ll help shape daily mine plans and support safe, efficient production. With ongoing asset growth, this is a prime opportunity for someone eager to advance their career in a dynamic environment. Here’s what awaits you: Coordinate pit and ancillary designs to align with weekly plans. Support Weekly Scheduling Engineers and the Senior Mining Engineer. Lead planning and execution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly mine plans. Manage weekly reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities. Qualifications Essential Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering. Minimum 3 years’ experience in open pit hard rock mining. Proficiency in Deswik CAD and Scheduler. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Strong accountability and leadership mindset. Valid WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence. Preferred Experience with mining contractors or operators. Exposure to drill and blast design. Familiarity with large teams and production coordination. Power BI experience. Benefits Company-subsidised GU Health Insurance.
