You will be responsible for performing breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and annual overhauls, as well as identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility to work across all shifts, including overtime, weekends, and public holidays. You will work closely with a small, passionate team in a supportive environment where your expertise will make a real impact.**Key Responsibilities:****Repairs and Maintenance:** Respond to machinery breakdowns, perform repairs, and ensure the effective operation of all equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.**Preventative Maintenance:** Contribute to the development and execution of the annual preventative maintenance program and overhaul schedule.**Machinery Operation:** Ensure the effective operation of all machinery and equipment.**Capital Works:** Assist with the purchase, construction, and installation of new machinery as required.**Continuous Improvement:** Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance cost, quality, and service.**Safety and Compliance:** Adhere to all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical policies. Actively participate in safety initiatives and report any incidents or hazards.**Teamwork:** Collaborate with colleagues, management, and external contractors to share knowledge and contribute to a positive team culture.**We're looking for someone with:*** Experience in the food manufacturing industry.* Strong mechanical aptitude and engineering skills.* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing faults in pumps, gearboxes, and other machinery.* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and steam processes is highly desirable.* Familiarity with filling, seaming, and packaging equipment is a plus.Qualifications:* Mechanical trade certificate in fitting and machining.* Welding certificate (MMAW and GTAW processes).Behavioural Attributes:* A team player who works well with others.* Proactive and able to take initiative when needed.* Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.At Kraft Heinz, we believe in fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered.
