Job Description Cook and Waiter At The Settlers Tavern, we pride ourselves on local produce to create delicious dishes enjoyed by locals and tourists 7 days a week. We provide cuisine of the highest quality and are regarded as one of the best restaurants in Western Australia (WA 6285). Settlers Tavern is currently recruiting highly motivated Cook and Waiter to join our team and build our future to showcase your culinary talents in one of the most picturesque regions in Western Australia. Cook Responsibilities Prepare meals in line with restaurant standards Support the ordering of food and supplies Care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately Infuse flavours by adding seasonings Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner Prepare meals for special events and additional functions, adjusting dishes to meet dietary needs of customers Artfully plate dishes with appropriate portions, accompanied by sauces, gravies, and garnishes Develop menu suggestions Check that food and supplies are delivered on schedule Control the temperature of ovens, grills, and various cooking equipment Cook Requirements A passion for food A creative flair Experience in creating new exciting dishes Ability to work well under pressure Attention to detail Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role Must have a can‑do attitude Waiter Duties Offering a warm welcome to customers and verifying reservations Accommodating new reservations and seamlessly integrating them into the booking system Accepting orders while recommending enticing menu selections and daily specials to guests Upholding the impeccable cleanliness of bar areas, glassware, and all used equipment Ensuring tables are promptly cleared post‑service, with glasses and plates picked up, and preparations made for the next service Striving to achieve absolute customer satisfaction while adhering to workplace safety guidelines and hygienic practices Contributing to uphold the exemplary customer service standards set by the employer Executing other related and incidental duties as directed by the employer Waiter Requirements Team leader with a positive and supportive outlook Strong understanding of hospitality business to provide and implement changes that maximise sales and profitability within the restaurant and brewery Experienced and responsible leader who is highly motivated and customer‑focused Excellent communicator with the ability to mentor and train others Positive, vibrant team player Minimum of 1 year’s experience Must have a can‑do attitude (Cook and Waiter) Position: Full Time (at least 38 hours per week).
