Men's Centre Team Leader (ATSI Identified Position) Join Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation to lead the Men's Centre at Piliyintinji-ki - Stronger Families in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. About the Role Collaborating with the Executive Manager, you will guide a team to deliver culturally appropriate programs and services, reduce community difficulties, and promote overall well‑being. You will support the opening and functioning of the Men's Centre and provide leadership to a diverse community. Key Responsibilities Assist in daily routines and activities to ensure appropriate program outcomes. Collaborate with counselling staff to develop and facilitate group activities in mental health, AOD, and social and emotional well‑being. Deliver programs that respond to the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and cultural needs of families and clients. Provide clear direction, leadership, and supervision of the Community Support Worker team. Develop and share culturally responsive links with community and family to support engagement and learning. Build relationships with external service provider agencies and support clients to access other support services (referrals, counselling, health support, NDIS, job networks, education programs). Support coordination of Family Violence plans. Record case notes in SupportLink for all scheduled group activities and evaluate feedback forms. Maintain secure and confidential client and staff records, attendance books, outreach records, and databases. Support and plan the training and development of your team, including mentoring and transferring skills. Address any WHS hazards, incidents, accidents and foster a professional and culturally safe work environment. Protect and maintain property, vehicles and equipment. Qualifications and Experience You will have an understanding of the Primary Health Care system and key issues relevant to Closing the Gap. You will communicate in a culturally responsive manner, understand the importance of traditional cultures, values and protocols. You will provide leadership, motivate staff, work autonomously, maintain accountability, set deadlines, collect and analyse data, write reports, and be familiar with Microsoft Office. You must be willing to travel and work in remote communities. Essentials and Requirements National Police Clearance and NT Working with Children's card (or correspondence to NT Safe). Minimum of 3 COVID-19 vaccinations (fully vaccinated). Current driver’s licence. Only Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people may apply. Benefits Annual leave: 6 weeks. Free general dentistry. Remote retention allowance of $750. Subsidised staff housing for relocation and relocation assistance up to $5,000. Salary packaging: $15,899.94 p/a.
