The role As a Senior Lawyer , you will provide legal advice in relation to the assessment of Australian Financial Services and Australian Credit licences, and company and self-managed superannuation fund auditor registrations. In addition, you will be : Providing legal expertise on complex licence matters, managing business requirements, and supporting AAT and court proceedings. Ensuring compliance with FOI notices and subpoenas, assessing licence applications, and developing policies and procedures. Reviewing legal and policy frameworks, contributing to government financial services reforms proposals, and mentoring team members. Liaising with senior leaders, regulatory teams, and external stakeholders. About you The ideal candidate for the Senior Lawyer role will have technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, a solutions-oriented mindset and ability to engage with large variety of audiences. You will also demonstrate : Bachelor of Laws and a current unrestricted practising certificate. At least 6 years of post-qualification experience. Strong legal and technical knowledge in the financial services industry. Significant experience providing complex legal advice and a track record of providing solutions and delivering outcomes. High quality written and oral communication skills and experience successfully engaging with industry and government regulators.
