About The Position Smiles Chatswood is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team. This part‑time role offers 4 days of work per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional variation in rostered days. Qualifications: must hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and have a driver’s licence, as work includes traveling to the hospital with our clinicians. We are a modern, fast‑paced 8‑chair cosmetic‑focused practice equipped with state‑of‑the‑art technology. With a long‑standing reputation in the ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding customer service to everyone who walks through our doors. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort. Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area. Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well‑stocked and organised. Patient Education: Provide patients with post‑operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care. Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience. Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.
