The Pacific Partnerships Coordinator plays a key support role within a high-performing team, coordinating and delivering Australian Government–funded rugby programs and activities across the Pacific region. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects. A strong focus on financial coordination, including budget tracking, payment processing, and reporting, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems are required, and familiarity with business intelligence tools will be an advantage. The successful candidate will demonstrate cultural awareness, solid communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with partners across diverse Pacific contexts. The role involves administrative support, logistics coordination, and assistance with event delivery, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and reporting to ensure programs are delivered efficiently and in alignment with Rugby Australia’s objectives. Experience with program or government grant acquittals or similar financial reporting processes will be highly regarded. Key Accountabilities 1. Administrative and Operational Support Support the financial coordination of Pacific programs, including budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting across multiple projects. Process payments, invoices, and reconciliations in line with organisational and donor requirements. Maintain accurate financial and administrative records to ensure transparency and compliance with audit standards. Coordinate travel, accommodation, logistics, and itineraries for staff, consultants, and visiting delegations. Assist with the planning and delivery of events, workshops, and meetings across the Pacific region. 2. Program Support and Coordination Assist in the planning and implementation of multiple programs across the Pacific region. Track timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure activities are delivered on time and within scope. Support coordination with local, regional, and international partners, including NGOs, government agencies, and sports organisations. 3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Assist in applying M&E tools and frameworks. Support the collection and organisation of program data to assess impact, performance, and progress. Contribute to the preparation of progress and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. 4. Stakeholder Engagement Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, implementing partners, and government counterparts. Engage in respectful, cross-cultural communication across the Pacific region. Represent Rugby Australia professionally at meetings and program activities when required. Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, project management, international relations/development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience supporting program or project delivery, ideally within an international, sporting, or government-funded context. Demonstrated experience in financial administration, including budgeting, reporting, and reconciliations. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; familiarity with business intelligence or data visualisation tools is an advantage. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
