Our work is complex, and we often work under difficult circumstances, but the job is rewarding. The Senior Practice Leader supervises the Practice Leadership Team (PLT) to strengthen Community Corrections management of domestic, family and sexual violence offending and increases staff expertise and retention by implementing the Resilience Framework (RF) initiatives. Role Requirements You require tertiary qualifications in psychology or social work with unconditional registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or as a social worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers, with demonstrated experience in criminogenic assessment, treatment and risk management of high-risk offenders and expertise in the assessment and delivery of psychological interventions for non-criminogenic needs. You also need to have experience as a supervisor and have demonstrated ability to design and deliver training on a range of criminogenic practice topics and to identify and streamline organisational processes to reduce red tape and achieve practice improvement through the introduction of a multidisciplinary offender management team in Community Corrections. Your ability to conduct research and interact effectively with people from diverse cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds is essential.
