We operate through two key divisions : Community Services which provides life skills in-home care and community access support and Social Enterprise which creates employment opportunities for people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Key responsibilities : A comprehensive knowledge of environmental operations and how this relates to the production process Lead and support the team and maintain a safe and inclusive working environment Coordinate resource recovery to maximise reduction of waste to landfill and increase sales meeting site targets Assisting in the provision of staff training when required Take responsibility for recycled material movement around the site using appropriate plant and equipment. Work with the general public either on transfer station gatehouse or market shop Assisting the public with purchasing items and when necessary Ensuring all team members on the transfer station are compliant with Outlooks policies and procedures Effective communication and customer service skills What we are looking for : Experience with staff supervision and management Experience with tools and equipment Ability to problem solve in difficult situations A friendly and approachable personality Good customer service skills Reliable punctual and willing to work hard Adhering to safe work practices and following procedures An excavator or loader ticket (desirable) Why work for us A flexible and diverse workplace that values your growth A supportive and inclusive team culture that celebrates your contributions This role is about making a difference in our community and environment by promoting reuse and recycling.
