Flexible work arrangements and a team that truly values what you bring. About the Position We are looking to welcome a Family Support Practitioner to our Mackay Intensive Family Support team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work comprehensively with families as a whole and with individual family members to overcome the challenges they are experiencing and achieve meaningful change. In this role, you will utilise evidence informed therapeutic interventions and be contributing directly to the improved wellbeing of children and families. Level 4 SCHCADS Award. Salary range : $88,100 - $94,792 + Superannuation. Full-time, Government funded position until 30 June 2027 with possible extension. The position offers the opportunity to : Partner with families over several months to a year in supporting them to achieve positive changes for their family. Draw on various evidence-informed therapeutic interventions and frameworks responsive to the needs of individual family members. Deliver an outreach model of complex case management to families in their home environment. Facilitate social learning, community connectedness, good health and wellbeing for vulnerable families. About You Hold a relevant tertiary qualification with professional registration (if required) and, a membership in a professional association (desirable). Demonstrate at least two (2) years’ experience providing case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people and children in a child protection framework. Display a high level of cultural awareness and communication skills to facilitate effective work with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Possess high levels of IT skills (electronic database entry and Microsoft applications), time management skills, and an ability to work as part of a team. Other Requirements Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption. Current driver’s licence. Legal ability to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
