NOW HIRING — SOLAR INSTALL ASSISTANT LABOURER (CONTRACTOR) MELBOURNE | $40/HR | MUST HAVE 2+ YEARS SOLAR PV ROOF EXPERIENCE Off the Grid Energy is expanding and we’re looking for a skilled, experienced Solar Install Labourer to join our Melbourne team. This role begins as contractor position at $40/hr for the first 3 months (probation period). After 3 months, if you prove to be punctual, clean, reliable, and a good cultural fit , there will be an opportunity to transition into a full‑time position within our company. About the Role You will be assisting our installers on residential and occasional commercial jobs. To be considered, you must already have a minimum of 2 years experience installing solar PV on roofs — this is a strict requirement. Responsibilities Mounting rails and panels Carrying and staging panels Roof layout + measuring Safety setup and compliance General labouring + site clean‑up Supporting installers with daily install tasks This is not a trainee role — we are looking for someone who can contribute from day one. Mandatory Requirements (No Exceptions) Minimum 2 years experience installing solar PV on roofs ABN White Card Strong reliability and work ethic Experience working safely at heights Ability to follow installer instructions and work as part of a team Clean presentation and professional conduct Preferred Working at Heights (we can assist with this if needed) Roofing background Location Based in Keilor Park , servicing Melbourne and surrounding areas.
