The role We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Dance Instructors to join our team and work in our co‑curricular Dance programs. As a casual dance instructor you will be responsible for developing a student's love of dance in an environment which supports the philosophy and pastoral values of the school. This role is required to work Wednesdays after school commencing in January 2026 and Wednesday/Saturday mornings from April to August. Hours will vary depending on requirements each term. Demonstrated success in dance and/or dance education. Knowledge of multiple dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip‑hop, and tap. Experience with strength and conditioning training. Experience with gymnastics and acro. The ability to adapt teaching to all age levels and abilities. A friendly and welcoming demeanour. The ability to manage a classroom of students. Experience with choreography and the successful running of performances with a live audience. Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. The ability to motivate and inspire students to express themselves through dance. A current Working with Children Check is essential for this position. Note: this role works during term time given the involvement with students in our Dance programs (both as an after‑school activity and as a part of APS Sport).
