About the opportunity At Mercy Health, you'll become part of a proud history built on over 100 years of expertise, skill and care.
As the Intensive Care Unit Equipment Nurse, you'll use your Intensive care nursing skills and knowledge to ensure the unit has the required equipment and recourses to provide a high level of care to our community.
The ICU Equipment Nurse ensures equipment and resources within the ICU environment meets required standards and are in accordance with relevant legislation.
The ICU Equipment Nurse is responsible for managing and monitoring the consumables and equipment budget efficiently, referring and reporting to the ICU Nurse Unit Manager.
Recording and ongoing coordination of required annual equipment refreshers, training for Intensive Care staff is implemented and tracked accordingly.
The ICU Equipment Nurse will demonstrate a high quality of clinical care, and ensure professional standards codes and behaviors that are legislated through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and Mercy Health policies are upheld.

To thrive in this role, you will have: Post Graduate Qualification in Critical Care with 3 years Post Graduate Clinical Experience in Intensive Care (Desirable) High level communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage with consumers, clinical and executive staff and external providers An in-depth knowledge and understanding of clinical equipment in the Intensive Care Unit environment Ability to work both in a proactive self-directed manner as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
Passion for Education and Research Activities Stock/Equipment monitoring and ordering experience (Desirable).
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: AHPRA registration A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
