About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Lead Geospatial Analyst for a large federal government department. This senior role involves supporting critical national security and emergency management systems through advanced geospatial solutions. Key Details Location: Canberra must be based in Canberra due to the on-call requirements Contract Duration: Initial term until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of two 12-month extensions Citizenship: Must be an Australian Citizen Security Clearance: at least Baseline clearance or must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Responsibilities Deploy and manage GIS environments (ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, Geospatial Server) Manage spatial databases (SQL Server, PostGIS) and ETL workflows (FME, Python) Develop web-based geospatial applications using ESRI tools and APIs Work within Agile teams using JIRA and Confluence Provide 24/7 support on a rostered basis Essential Skills Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and related technologies Expertise in spatial data management and ETL workflows Development of web-based GIS applications (ArcGIS Dashboards, WebApp, Experience Builder) Ability to lead strategic GIS initiatives and mentor team members Why Join?
