In this role, you'll:
Inspect, service, overhaul and repair systems, equipment and components on passenger trains to contribute to the reliability and availability levels for Sydney Trains passenger fleet.
Focus on attending to defective passenger cars at the service centre, analysing problems and taking actions to allow trains to remain in or return to service. This includes Customer Service Tasks to facilitate efficient working and minimise disruption to services.
Carry out inspections, service, maintenance, overhaul, problem analysis, fault finding, repairs, modification and upgrades to components changes and functional testing to equipment and components on passenger trains.
Report directly to the Maintenance Shift Managers & Team Leaders, working in a team consisting of Rail Maintainers and Engineering support staff.
Willing to be trained so that they can operate plant equipment
This is a 12 months Temporary Full time opportunity and is based at Mortdale (Mortdale Maintenance Centre).
This is an operational role which entails 24/7 rotating roster shift work that may include weekend work and/or work on public holidays.

About you
Fitting trade qualified with a certificate of proficiency and/or Electrical heavy engineering experience.
