Civil Designer - ( AC ) Description About the role Stantec’s transport team delivers integrated solutions that link communities and enhances urban and regional environments. Our team balances complex traffic and transport needs while assisting governments, developers and constructors to deliver and maintain more liveable, workable spaces and to support sustainable development. We are currently seeking a 12D Road Designer to join our team of designers as an integral part of our growing Transport Delivery team, where you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of small and large scale road projects. You will be part of a team that enables you to collaborate with team members of varying experience, who work with and support each other to deliver the best solutions for our clients. Day to day tasks would involve : Complete designs / drawings using software packages using relevant standards (MRWA, Council standards) Complete design and documentation in accordance with compliant procedures and standards Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers Operate 12D and CAD, and other drafting / design computer programs Deliver project outcomes within client specifications and expectations Mentor and guide younger team members To be successful for this role you'll need : Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural engineering Minimum of 5 years of design experience within roads civil drafter Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirement Experience in the operation of software design tools such as 12D and AutoCAD packages Experience in geometric design for MRWA and Austroads and other civil infrastructure Experience in OpenRoads will be advantageous Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a strong focus on the production of quality outputs What we offer Along with a competitive salary we offer many other benefits to ensure your professional development & wellbeing is ongoing.
