Location: Across Multiple Western Health Sites Employment Type: Ongoing, Full Time Salary: Grade 3 – Year 1 to Year 4 (SX6 to SX81) + Superannuation + Salary Packaging About the Role Western Health is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Pharmacist to support patient care in our Emergency Departments and Urgent Care Centres. You will work with a dedicated team of Lead and Senior Pharmacists to develop clinical services, governance, quality improvement, education, and staff leadership within a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver expert clinical pharmacy services within Emergency Departments, participating in multidisciplinary patient care and code/call response events such as sepsis calls. Lead and support pharmacists through supervision, coaching, and performance development to maintain high practice standards. Contribute to the creation and review of policies, procedures, guidelines and medication protocols to promote safe medication management. Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health stakeholders to improve outcomes through excellence in medication management. Engage in education, training, quality improvement, research and departmental development initiatives to advance practice and support workforce capability. About You At least five years of diverse hospital clinical experience, with demonstrated expertise in emergency medicine. Excellent clinical judgement, up‑to‑date medication knowledge and a commitment to evidence‑based care. Proven ability to lead, mentor and support pharmacy staff in a dynamic clinical setting. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and teamwork skills. Initiative, problem‑solving abilities and a forward‑thinking approach to service improvement and innovation.
