Motorcycle Mechanic

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Motorcycle Mechanic to join our BMW Motorrad Team within our state of the art service department. The main function of this role is to perform routine motorcycle repairs, services and maintenance on motorcycles as required by manufacturer standards and as per customers’ requests. Reporting to the lead Foreman and Service Manager, this role will support a team of technicians in the day-to-day operations of the service workshop by completing pre-assigned tasks. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repair on customer motorcycles. Identify problems using the diagnostic equipment. Explain motorcycle repairs and issues and provide great customer service. Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience. Test the functionality of parts and systems. Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work. Pre-requisites Motorcycle and motorcycle engine repair experience or specialised motorcycle technicians training required. Hold a valid driver license. Graduated from a certificate or diploma level in Light Vehicle Mechanical technology. Proven experience in fault finding using diagnostic knowledge and initiative. Ability to use the diagnostic equipment. Good hand-eye coordination. Comply with work health and safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
