About the Role We are looking for a volunteer who can spend an hour or two per week chatting with a lovely lady living with dementia at our Bayswater Residential Care Centre. She loves fashion, travel and enjoys conversation. Your visits will provide companionship, help her stay active and bring joy to her life. Locations Venues in Northern suburbs: Kinross, Osborne Park, Duncraig, Karrinyup, Bayswater Venues in Southern suburbs: Salter Point (near South Perth/Como), Bull Creek, Camillo, Coolbellup Venue in Eastern suburbs: Lesmurdie Regional venue: Mandurah What you’ll do Chat with residents, read magazines or newspapers, discuss books Colouring, listening to music, watching TV or playing board games Share hidden talents such as knitting or gardening, as requested Keep the environment positive and uplifting Commitment & Training Commitment: 1 hour per week or fortnight, with the option to volunteer more if time permits.Training: Initial orientation and ongoing support.
