About the role This position supports the delivery of the Basic and Clinical Sciences (BCS) component in Years 1 and 2 (Foundation Years) of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program in Sydney. The applicant should have subject matter expertise in the following areas: Microbiology, Physiology, biochemistry Key Responsibilities Teaching the BCS curriculum within the Foundation Years, including lectures, laboratory sessions, tutorials, or other activities to the standard of the Faculty Leading lab tutors and demonstrators to deliver interactive practical sessions and workshops Assisting in planning and updating the BCS curriculum, including development of lectures, laboratory activities, tutorials and online teaching resources (e.g. Mini-videos and snippets); Working with the assessment team ensuring the development, alignment, blueprinting, evaluation and renewal of the Foundation Years assessment items in the BCS Domain. Conducting and marking exams and continuous assessments. Working with the Curriculum team in aligning the learning objectives in BCS domain with the National Curriculum Qualifications, skills & experience PhD or a fellowship of the College or with equivalent professional experience. A minimum of an undergraduate qualification. Experience in teaching at Masters level or higher or in medical, health sciences or professional practice based education settings. A high level of interest in medical education and experience in teaching in a health sciences context. Ability to, or a willingness to learn how to incorporate technology into teaching and learning (e.g. Blackboard, Zoom, Microsoft Office, H5P, email, internet). Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes including online delivery. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work effectively in a team.
